Chiller Truck Rental in Abu Dhabi for Bulk Chilled Distribution — Hire Today
Chiller Logistics offers chiller truck rental in Abu Dhabi and Dubai from 400 AED per day, with 24 trucks running 0°C to +8°C across four tonnages — 3, 5, 7 and 10 tons, holding 4 to 12 Euro pallets. Tail lift on the heavier classes, food-grade GRP interiors throughout, and Carrier Transicold or Thermo King units on every vehicle.
A truck is what you take when a van stops making sense. Three van runs to shift what one 5-ton moves in a single trip means three sets of fuel, three drivers’ hours and three loading cycles — and the cargo spends the whole morning going in and out of temperature. Size the vehicle to the load once and the cost per ton drops, the drops get faster, and the cold chain holds because the doors open less.
Daily, weekly and monthly rates below — self-drive, or add a driver for 100–150 AED per day.
Which Tonnage Your Load Needs — 3, 5, 7 or 10 Ton
Most buyers pick a truck by weight and get it wrong, because the pallet footprint fills the box before the payload limit does. Here is what each class actually holds.

3 Ton — Single-Route City Distribution · 8 trucks
The internal box runs 4.20 m × 2.00 m × 1.90 m, taking 4 Euro pallets or 3 standard pallets against a 3,000 kg payload. Built on 80 mm PU panels with food-grade GRP lining and a Carrier Transicold or Thermo King unit. This is the class for restaurant groups, single-outlet supply and city routes where access matters more than volume — it parks where a 7-ton cannot. Tail lift optional at 1,000 kg capacity.

5 Ton — The Volume Most Distributors Actually Need
The internal box runs 5.20 m × 2.20 m × 2.10 m: 6 Euro pallets, 5 standard pallets, 5,000 kg payload. Same 80 mm build and unit specification as the 3-ton, with half again the pallet count. Seven trucks in the fleet and the one most often booked, because it covers hotel supply, wholesale catering and multi-outlet retail without moving into heavy licence territory. Tail lift optional at 1,000 kg.

7 Ton — Multi-Outlet and Hypermarket Runs · 5 trucks
The internal box runs 6.20 m × 2.30 m × 2.20 m, holding 8 Euro pallets or 7 standard against a 7,000 kg payload. Build steps up here — 100 mm high-density PU with seamless GRP, and Carrier Supra or Thermo King T-Series units, which hold the set point better on long runs and repeated dock openings. Tail lift standard or optional at 1,500 kg. Requires a Category 4 heavy licence.

10 Ton — Full-Load Bulk and Intercity Freight · 4 trucks
The internal box runs 7.50 m × 2.40 m × 2.30 m: 12 Euro pallets, 10 standard pallets, 10,000 kg payload. Same 100 mm insulation and Supra / T-Series cooling as the 7-ton. This is warehouse-to-warehouse work, port collections out of KIZAD, and intercity freight where one full load beats three partial ones. Tail lift standard at 1,500–2,000 kg. Category 4 licence required.
Loading a truck to around 80% is where the economics work. If you are consistently filling a 3-ton, you are paying twice for what a 5-ton does in one run. If you are half-filling a 10-ton, you are paying to move air. Tell us your daily volume and pallet type and we will tell you which class to book — including when the smaller one is the right answer.
Chiller Truck Rental Rates by Tonnage — Abu Dhabi
Self-drive rates, published. Every figure below is before you call, not after.
Truck | Daily (AED) | Weekly (AED) | Monthly (AED) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 Ton | 400 – 450 | 2,400 | 6,500 – 7,500 |
| 5 Ton | 500 – 550 | 3,000 | 8,000 – 9,000 |
| 7 Ton | 600 – 650 | 3,600 | 9,500 – 10,500 |
| 10 Ton | 750 – 850 | 4,500 | 11,500 – 13,000 |
Run the cost per ton and the picture changes. A 3-ton at 400 AED works out near 133 AED per ton per day; a 10-ton at 800 sits at 80. When your volume genuinely fills the larger box, the bigger truck is the cheaper way to move cargo — which is why we would rather size you correctly than rent you two vehicles.
Our rates are self-drive. A driver is an option at 100–150 AED per day depending on duty hours and whether the route crosses emirates, not a cost built into the headline figure. Chiller truck monthly rental in Abu Dhabi carries the sharpest per-day rate of the three plans and waives the deposit on approved corporate contracts.
The Loads Our Chiller Trucks Move Across Abu Dhabi
Bulk chilled work is a logistics problem before it is a temperature one — pallet counts, dock windows and drop sequencing decide whether a route runs on time.

Supermarket & Hypermarket Restocking
Scheduled multi-outlet runs into fixed receiving windows, where arriving outside your slot means waiting at the bay. Palletised chilled stock loaded once and dropped in sequence, with tail lift handling the sites that have no dock.

Wholesale Food Distribution
Mussafah market collections out to retail and foodservice customers, usually early and usually against the clock. The 5 and 7-ton classes carry a full morning’s distribution in one load rather than splitting it across return trips.

Hotel & Catering Supply at Scale
Volume the van class cannot hold — banquet and event supply into Yas, Saadiyat, ADNEC and the city hotels, delivered on a setup schedule. Mixed chilled produce, prepared stock and beverages on one manifest.

Dairy & Beverage Distribution
Producer and cold store to retail on a narrow temperature window, moving in full pallets. Consistent set point matters more here than anywhere: dairy that drifts shows the damage on shelf, days after the delivery signature.

Fresh Produce & Agricultural Freight
Al Ain collections, KIZAD import consolidation and central market runs. High-volume, fast-turning cargo where the load is bulky rather than heavy — pallet footprint fills the box long before the payload ceiling.

Pharmaceutical Bulk Runs
Clinic, pharmacy and distributor supply holding +2°C to +8°C, in a food-grade lined box with documented sanitation. Bulk medical stock that a 1-ton van cannot carry in a single run.
Tail Lift Loading — When You Need One and What It Handles
Three quarters of the loading problems we get asked about come down to one thing: the receiving site has no dock, or its dock is the wrong height for the truck. A hydraulic tail lift solves both. It lowers palletised cargo from box floor to ground level without a forklift at either end, which means a driver and a pallet truck can complete a drop unassisted.
Capacity runs 1,000 kg on the 3 and 5-ton classes, and 1,500 to 2,000 kg on the 7 and 10-ton, where it is fitted as standard on most units. That difference matters when a single loaded standard pallet can approach a tonne.
Take a tail lift when you are delivering to:
Supermarket and retail bays without dock access
ICAD and KIZAD warehouse units where forklift availability is not guaranteed
Event venues, hotels and sites with ground-level goods entrances
Any route where the driver is unloading alone
Skip it when both ends of your route have level docks and forklifts — you are paying for lift capacity you will never lower.

Certified for Abu Dhabi's Industrial Zones and Receiving Bays
Compliance on a truck is not paperwork. It decides whether the vehicle gets through a gate and whether the load gets accepted at the other end.
- HACCP certified — food-grade GRP interiors, sanitised before every dispatch, with hygiene documentation available for your own food safety audit. This is what makes the box fit to carry food at all.
- ADAFSA compliant — the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority requirement for food transport in the emirate. Hotels, hospitals, hypermarkets and institutional kitchens check it at the receiving bay, and a load turned away at the gate is a cost the supplier absorbs, not the carrier.
- Dubai Municipality Food Safety compliant — the equivalent clearance for the Dubai leg, so an intercity run does not stop at the emirate line for a documentation gap.
- Fourteen years of operation — trading since 2012, with a maintained record across all four requirements rather than a certificate obtained once and filed.

Before You Take the Keys — Licence, Deposit and Mileage
Truck rental carries conditions a van does not, and the licence class is the one that stops most self-drive bookings before they start.
- Licence classes: 3 and 5-ton trucks need a UAE Light Vehicle or Light Mechanical Equipment licence — Category 3 or 5, depending on the chassis gross weight. 7 and 10-ton trucks require a Category 4 heavy vehicle licence. Self-drive on those two classes is only available where you supply a driver holding a valid Category 4. If you do not have one, take ours.
- In the rate: unit servicing and scheduled maintenance at our own workshop, interior sanitation between rentals, comprehensive UAE insurance carrying a 1,500–2,500 AED excess per claim, and breakdown cover — repair on the spot, or a replacement truck where it cannot be fixed the same day.
- What you bring: the correct licence class, Emirates ID and a trade licence copy. Deposit is 2,500 AED on the 3 and 5-ton, 3,500 AED on the 7 and 10-ton, returned 14–21 business days after handback and waived entirely on approved corporate monthly contracts. Fuel is full-to-full; Salik and Darb pass through at cost.
- Mileage: 300 km daily or 6,000 km monthly. Beyond that, 1.00 AED per km on the 3 and 5-ton, 1.50 AED on the 7 and 10-ton.
- Minimum hire: one day on the 3 and 5-ton. Three days on the 7 and 10-ton, or a single trip with one of our drivers if you need the capacity for one delivery.
- Pull-down: 45 to 60 minutes to +2°C in peak summer ambient. Trucks leave the yard pre-cooled, so the box is at temperature before your first pallet goes on.
Booking runs like this: tell us the load, pallet type and dates → we confirm the class, a firm rate and availability → licence, documents and deposit → collect from Mussafah, or we deliver (free across Abu Dhabi on three days or more, 100 AED on shorter hires, 150 AED to Dubai and the northern emirates, free on monthly contracts).
Where Our Chiller Trucks Run — Zones, Gates and Intercity Routes
Access decides more truck routes than distance does. A 10-ton that cannot enter the zone is of no use, and the industrial areas that hold most of Abu Dhabi’s cold chain volume are gated.
Inside the emirate our trucks work Mussafah M1–M45 and ICAD I, II and III, KIZAD and Khalifa Port, Abu Dhabi city and Khalifa City, Yas and Saadiyat, and out to Al Ain and the Western Region. The heavier classes suit the industrial and port work; the 3 and 5-ton handle city centre and island delivery, where turning circles and loading bay clearance rule out anything larger. Chiller truck rental in Mussafah Industrial Area is our shortest dispatch — the yard is inside the zone, so a truck is not driving in from another emirate before your hire starts.
Chiller truck rental in Dubai runs on the same rates and terms. Collect from Mussafah or take delivery into the emirate, with Al Quoz, Ras Al Khor, Deira, Jebel Ali and Dubai Investment Park all standard territory. The Abu Dhabi–Dubai corridor is a route we have run for fourteen years, and a return leg sits inside the daily mileage allowance.
Fridge truck hire across the UAE extends to chiller truck rental in Sharjah, plus Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain.

Frequently Asked Questions
A 3 or 5-ton needs a UAE Category 3 or 5 light vehicle licence; a 7 or 10-ton needs Category 4 heavy. If nobody on your team holds Category 4, take one of our drivers at 100–150 AED per day.
Yes, subject to availability — move up or down a class on the same agreement. Give us notice so the replacement is pre-cooled and ready rather than starting from ambient.
A chiller truck runs one temperature zone across the whole box, at 0°C to +8°C. If you need chilled and frozen cargo in the same trip, that is our dual-zone refrigerated truck rental instead.
Yes — the units set anywhere across the chilled band and hold +2°C to +8°C for medical stock. The interiors are food-grade GRP with documented sanitation between rentals.
Three days on the 7 and 10-ton, one day on the 3 and 5-ton. If you need heavy capacity for a single delivery, we can run it as a one-trip job with our driver instead.
Yes. Collect from Mussafah, or we deliver into the emirate for 150 AED on daily and weekly hires, free on monthly contracts.
Usually. Pull-down runs 45 to 60 minutes, so a truck called in the morning can be pre-cooled and out of the yard once the licence check, documents and deposit are settled.
Different Temperature or Different Size?
- Frozen instead of chilled, at the same tonnage — take a Freezer Truck, running −18°C to −25°C across 3 to 10 tons.
- Chilled and frozen together on one run — take a Refrigerated Truck (dual-zone), two independently set compartments across 3 to 10 tons.
- Under 1.5 tons and city routes — a chiller van costs less and parks where a truck cannot.
- Send us the cargo type, pallet count and weight and we will point you at the right one.
