Chiller Van Rental in Abu Dhabi & UAE For Temperature-Sensitive Cargo — Rent Today

Chiller Logistics offers chiller van rental in Abu Dhabi from 250 AED per day, with 80 vans in the fleet holding 0°C to +8°C across 1 to 2 ton payloads. Standard and high roof options cover everything from crated produce and dairy runs to floral stock and catering trays, keeping fresh cargo at temperature through the city, the industrial zones and out across the emirate.

Take the van on a daily, weekly or monthly plan, self-drive or with one of our drivers for 100–150 AED per day. Every unit leaves our Mussafah yard pre-cooled, sanitised and HACCP-certified, so the cold chain starts before your first load goes in — not somewhere along the route.

Our Chiller Van Fleet — Models, Tonnage & Cold Chain Specs

Eighty chiller vans in two build specifications, running Toyota Hiace and Nissan Urvan NV350 bodies from 2020 to 2024. Both hold the same temperature window — the difference is height, volume and payload. The figures below are the ones to measure your load against.

Build. Walls are 80 mm high-density polyurethane panels — above the 75 mm most rental fleets in this market run. Interiors are seamless food-grade GRP: non-porous, corrosion-free and washable end to end. Floors are checkered anti-slip aluminium with sealed perimeters and rear drainage outlets, so a full sanitation wash-down takes minutes rather than a workshop visit.

Cold chain from handover. Every van goes through a 30–45 minute pre-cooling pull-down at the yard before collection, delivered to you at +2°C to +4°C. The box is already cold when your first pallet goes in.

Heat performance. The units are rated and field-tested to hold 0°C to +8°C in 45–50°C ambient — the summer condition that decides whether a van is fit for this market or borrowed from a cooler one.

On the route. PVC thermal strip curtains sit over the rear and side openings to limit cold loss on multi-drop runs, an in-cab LED display lets the driver read and adjust cargo temperature without stopping, tie-down track rails run the internal side walls, and LED strip lighting covers early-morning and evening dock work.

Standard Roof or High Roof — Which Chiller Van Fits Your Load

Same temperature, same rate band, same certification. What separates them is 30 cm of interior height and 1.7 m³ of usable space — and which one is right comes down to how you load and where you park.

Comparison:

Standard Roof
High Roof
LoadingStoop-in — fine for crated and palletised stock loaded from the tail Walk-in at full height — faster on repeat stops, easier on the back
Parking access Clears basement bays, mall service ramps and low-clearance car parks Needs open-yard or street-level loading
Best load type Boxed goods, dairy crates, produce cartons, sealed trays Floral buckets, tall stacked crates, mixed-height and bulky loads
Route fit Single-drop and low-stop-count city runs High-frequency multi-drop where loading time compounds
Available 38 vans 42 vans

In Short:

Boxed, crated or palletised stock and basement access — standard roof.

Tall stock, floral, or a route with ten drops a day — high roof.

Chiller Van Rental Rates in Abu Dhabi

Published rates, not "contact us for pricing." What you see below is what a chiller van costs before you call.

Rate table:

Plan
Rate (AED)
Suits
Daily 250 – 300 Single deliveries, event runs, covering a vehicle that's off the road
Weekly 1,500 – 1,800 Seasonal peaks, short contracts, trial periods before committing
Monthly3,200 – 3,800 Fixed daily routes, ongoing distribution, fleet supplementation

Rates vary within each band by roof type, rental length and route. A high roof on a monthly plan sits differently to a standard roof taken for two days — tell us which you need and we’ll confirm the exact figure.

Driver note:

Self-drive or with a driver. Take the van and run it with your own people, or add one of ours for 100–150 AED per day, set by duty hours and whether the route crosses emirates. Our drivers hold UAE commercial licences and are trained in cold chain handling.

What’s included and what’s not:

  • Insurance: Included (Comprehensive UAE coverage). Standard insurance excess is AED 1,500 – AED 2,500 per reported accident/claim (waived if Non-Fault with police report).
  • Fuel and Salik: Renter’s responsibility. Fuel is provided on a Full-to-Full basis; Salik (and Darb) tolls are billed at cost upon return.
  • Mileage: Capped at 300 km/day (6,000 km/month). Overage rate is billed at AED 0.75 per extra km.
  • Security deposit: AED 1,500 refundable deposit (released within 14–21 business days post-rental; waived on monthly corporate contracts).
  • Minimum rental period: 1 day for daily rentals (1 month / 30 days to qualify for monthly rates).

What Our Chiller Vans Carry Across Abu Dhabi

Anything that needs to stay cold without freezing. The 0°C to +8°C window covers most of what moves daily through Abu Dhabi’s food trade — here’s what our vans are out doing on a typical morning.

Fresh produce and vegetables

Leafy stock wilts fast above +8°C and chills badly below zero, which is why the thermostat sits where it does. Market collections out of Mussafah, farm-to-retail runs and daily restocking for grocers and retail outlets.

Dairy and chilled beverages

Milk, laban, yogurt, cheese and bottled drinks work in one of the tightest windows in food transport, and the damage from a warm hour rarely shows until the product is already on shelf. Producer-to-retail routes, café supply and hotel deliveries.

Fresh flowers and floral events

Cut stems need steady cool air rather than aggressive cooling, and the strip curtains matter here more than anywhere: a floral load loses vase life every time a door stands open. Florist restocking, hotel arrangements, wedding and event installations.

Bakery, desserts and prepared meals

Cakes, pastries, chilled desserts and ready meals that hold shape and texture only while they stay cold. Central kitchen to outlet, catering runs and event delivery.

Restaurant, café and dark-kitchen supply

Daily ingredient runs where the van is doing eight or ten drops before noon. High roof and the side sliding door earn their keep on this work.

Event and hospitality catering

Chilled trays, prepped ingredients and beverage stock delivered to venues on a setup schedule, from ADNEC and the island hotels to private function sites.

Pharmacy and clinic runs

Medicines and healthcare stock that hold at +2°C to +8°C, a narrower band than most food cargo and one with no tolerance for excursion. The in-cab temperature display matters on this work: the driver reads the box temperature on the move instead of finding out at the delivery point. Pharmacy restocking, clinic supply and medical distribution routes across the emirate.

What's Included in Your Rental

No surprises at handover. Here’s exactly what the rate covers, what you bring, and how the booking runs from first call to keys in hand.

Included in every rental:

  • The van itself — Toyota Hiace or Nissan Urvan NV350, standard or high roof, allocated to your requirement
  • Comprehensive insurance — full UAE cover, with a 1,500–2,500 AED excess per reported claim. Non-fault incidents with a police report carry no excess
  • Refrigeration unit servicing — Carrier Transicold and Thermo King units maintained on schedule, not on failure
  • Scheduled vehicle maintenance — handled at our own workshop, so a service doesn’t sit in a third-party queue
  • Pre-delivery sanitation — the GRP interior washed down and sanitised before every handover
  • Pre-cooling — 30–45 minute pull-down cycle at the yard, so the box reaches you at +2°C to +4°C
  • Breakdown cover — if a unit fails mid-rental we repair it, and where that can’t happen same-day, a replacement van goes out instead

What you’ll need:

  • Valid UAE driving licence — for self-drive, held by whoever will operate the van
  • Emirates ID — original and copy
  • Trade licence — for company rentals, a copy of the commercial licence
  • Security deposit — 1,500 AED, refunded 14–21 business days after return. Waived on monthly corporate contracts
  • Fuel — full-to-full. Collect it full, return it full
  • Salik and Darb — billed at cost on return, no markup
  • Mileage — 300 km per day, or 6,000 km on a monthly plan. Anything beyond runs at 0.75 AED per km

On mileage: 300 km a day covers city and Mussafah routes comfortably, and most Abu Dhabi–Dubai return runs. If your route is heavier than that, tell us at booking and we’ll price it in rather than bill it after.

Renting with a driver? The licence requirement doesn’t apply — our driver operates the van and you provide the route.

How it works:

  1. Tell us what you need — cargo type, roof preference, dates, and whether you want self-drive or a driver. Call, WhatsApp or send the quote form.
  2. We confirm availability and rate — a firm figure against your dates, not a range. Same-day confirmation during operating hours.
  3. Documents and deposit — send the paperwork over, settle the deposit, and the van is reserved to you.
  4. Collect or have it delivered — pick up from our Mussafah yard pre-cooled and ready, or we bring it to your site.

Why UAE Businesses Rent Our Chiller vans

Renting a chiller van is a bet on availability and cold chain integrity. Here is what backs both.

Reasons:

  • A van when you need one, not next week — 80 chiller vans on the books means same-day availability on most days, and a replacement on the road if a unit goes down mid-rental
  • Your load clears the receiving bay — HACCP-certified interiors and ADAFSA verification, so hotel, hypermarket and institutional deliveries pass at the gate instead of being turned back
  • The van comes back when we say it will — owned fleet serviced at our own workshop, with no third-party queue deciding your downtime
  • Nothing driving in from another emirate — the fleet is based here, so an Abu Dhabi rental starts at collection rather than after a positioning run
  • Fourteen years of UAE summers — operating since 2012, with units rated and field-tested to hold 0°C to +8°C in 45–50°C ambient heat

Chiller Van Rental Across Abu Dhabi, Dubai & the UAE

Collection is from our Mussafah yard, and most rentals run inside Abu Dhabi — Mussafah and the ICAD zones, KIZAD and Khalifa Port, Abu Dhabi city and Khalifa City, Yas and Saadiyat, out to Al Ain and the Western Region. Vans can also be delivered to your site rather than collected, which suits monthly rentals and anyone running a fixed route from their own premises.

Chiller van rental in Dubai works the same way. Take the van from Mussafah and operate it in Dubai for the full rental term, or arrange delivery into the emirate — Al Quoz, Ras Al Khor, Deira, Jebel Ali, Dubai Investment Park, Business Bay and the wider city are all inside normal working range, and a return run to Dubai sits comfortably within the daily mileage allowance. Fourteen years of running that corridor means the intercity leg is routine rather than an exception.

Fridge van rental across the UAE extends to Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain on the same terms.
